Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

The course deals with an unexplored area of foreign language teaching and testing, that of cross-lingual mediation, i.e., a social activity, in which users of different languages are involved, in order to restore communication gaps. Cross-lingual mediation refers to the parallel use of languages or to the relaying of information from one language to another in order to complete a task. It is designed by taking into consideration the principles of distance education but adapted to the needs of pre-service language teachers. It is highly interactive in a sense that interactivity is both synchronous and asynchronous and it takes place though the e-class platform and the forum spaces it provides, through emails and discussion groups.
