Instructional Design in Distance Education

Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

This workshop aims to familiarize pre-service teachers with the design and development of online modules. It works its way through the instructional systems design process and learning activities are related to the iterations of design, development, evaluation, and tweak that take place as we work through the ISD model for the production of an instructional module. Participants will enjoy both synchronous and asynchronous sessions in an interactive, constructive online learning environment with the ultimate goal to develop their own teaching module reaching high levels of creativity based on Bloom’s taxonomy.

 

General Aims and Specific Objectives:

 

      Aims:

      Upon completion of this workshop the learner will be able to:

      - Describe and analyze the basic concepts of online learning and the instructional design in

       distance education

      - Design or modify an instructional module in an online learning environment

 

      Objectives:

      • Identify and analyze issues and set guidelines for quality distance learning experiences

      • Analyze ISD Models and framework

      • Establish a Community of Inquiry

      • Explore teaching resources and their role in online learning

      • Identify, describe, and analyze methods, principles and tools for inclusive teaching and

         learning practices

      • Identify and analyze forms of assessment

      • Develop an instructional module
