Translanguaging in the Greek EFL classroom

Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

The present e-course aims at familiarizing you with the current developments in multilingual didactics with specific reference to the incorporation of translanguaging practices in the EFL classroom. Translanguaging pedagogy as a social just pedagogy will be discussed  along with what translanguaging practices are, and how they can be strategically implemented in the classroom. During this 4-week course, we intend on visiting key terms within the field of translanguaging studies. Overall, this course is discipline- informed and guided by the idea that translanguaging practices in multilingual classrooms in general and in the Greek EFL classrooms in particular are beneficial to the learning process and can foster socially equal learning practices.
