(2019) Integrating Project Based Learning in teaching and learning English at Senior High School-Tangible Examples

Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

Teaching and Learning English at Senior High School can often prove an unstimulating procedure due to a variety of multilayered reasons.

The particular e-workshop aims at extensively portraying both in theory and, primarily, in practice how Project Based Teaching and Learning can become "an extended process that uses inquiry and challenge to stimulate the growth and mastery of skills" (Thom Markham, 2012) within the classroom's context and beyond, reversing the weak points and taking full advantage of the 'windows of opportunity' in the existing statutory framework.

The presentation of teaching practices of both short and larger scale projects designed and produced by both the teacher and her students in the last years, focuses on the benefits of implementing PB Learning and Teaching English at Senior High School and their interconnection with the principles and goals of the Greek "New School" (2010-2011) and the Greek "New Integrated Foreign Languages Curriculum" (2011 & 2013).
