Research in Education - Action Research

After you have read the course description and before Module 1 begins, you are required to

1. state the reasons that led you to apply for this course in the relevant forum

2. identify a research topic that interests you.

This Module is an overview of the theoretical foundations of the scientific and interpretive research methodologies in social sciences and education.

This Module offers:

• a detailed presentation of the various data collection methods (with an emphsis on questionnaires and interviews)

• a discussion of issues concerning research quality.

This Module deals with the nature and the advantages of Action Research. By the end of this Module you are expected to formulate your research question and decide upon your course of action.

Module 4 aims to equip you giving succesful presentations.
